On Friday 26th June we celebrated Matariki - the Maori New Year, at Kindergarten. This was done with singing of Waiata, the lighting of a candle to remember our ancestors, a feast, and traditional games, a tug o war, a campfire where we toasted marshmallows. IT was a great celebration!!!!!
