The children have been learning about KAKAPO as part of the Kakapo Recovery Programme, the theme of this year's Kindergarten Awareness Month. Last October 26th, we had a great opportunity to skpye with a ranger from the Department of Conservation in the far away Codfish Island to ask questions and learn more about the endangered native bird called kakapo. It was an exciting experience for the children and even the adults at Bayview Kindergarten!
